ANNUAL TRADE EXPO

Each year we host a trade expo featuring the latest in masonry technology and construction materials. This is a unique opportunity for Associate Members to showcase their products to a target audience and build alliances with other industry professionals. It is also an excellent opportunity for contractors and designers to view the latest in state-of-the-art masonry materials. As a testament to its popularity and value, we regularly see attendance of more than 300 architects, engineers, design students, contractors and union officials every year.

Along with the exhibits, our trade expo is an AIA/CES Expo Education registered event. At this one single event, architects can simultaneously learn about new products and materials from exhibitors AND be able to maximize their earning potential tremendously by attending accredited programs conducted by the International Masonry Institute and other AIA/CES registered providers. The educational programs are held continuously throughout the expo - directly on the trade expo floor - providing concise, valuable information regarding the newest and most innovative masonry products and techniques.

Additionally, we are proud to host prominent Keynote Speakers who provide informative and entertaining presentations for our attendees. Some examples of the speakers we've been fortunate enough to have participate are: retired space shuttle astronaut, Mike Mullane; David T. Biggs., P.E., author of “Masonry Aspects of the World Trade Center Disaster”; Chris Huckabee, AIA, co-author of "Are You Building a School or a Liability?"; Maria Viteri of the International Masonry Institute; and Carlos Jimenez, principal and lead designer of Carlos Jimenez Studio, who gave a presentation titled "Some Thoughts on Masonry and Architecture".

Be sure to mark your calendar for the 2009 Trade Expo to be held again at the Hyatt Regency on Monday, November 2nd.
