While only 70 golfers played in our very first tournament at the Medford Village Country Club on May 23, 1994, the event has evolved into something so exciting and so eagerly anticipated that now we quickly sell out with 144 golfers every year!

During our tournament’s infancy stages, The Joseph A. Speranza Memorial Award had gone to the player with the lowest gross score. Now, with 144 golfers, the award goes to the team of players with the lowest score based upon a “SHAMBLE” format, or modified “SCRAMBLE”.

We hold our tournament in May each year and we play at the courses that won’t make you throw your clubs in frustration!
